Ingredients:

  • 3 1/2 c. THRIVE Blackberries - Freeze DriedTHRIVE Blackberries - Freeze Dried
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. Brown Sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 3/4 c. Brown Sugar
  • 1 c. White Flour (All Purpose Unbleached Flour)
  • 1 1/3 c. THRIVE Quick OatsTHRIVE Quick Oats
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. THRIVE Iodized SaltTHRIVE Iodized Salt
  • 3/4 c. butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375⁰F.
  2. Rehydrate blackberries by soaking for a few minutes in just enough water to cover them. Drain well and reserve ½ c. of the water.
  3. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ½ c. brown sugar, both zest and juice from lemon, and as much of the water as needed to achieve desired consistency. Set aside.
  4. Mix ¾ c. brown sugar, flour, oats, soda, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  5. Pat half of mixture into a greased 8x8 pan and top with berry mixture. Sprinkle remaining crumble mixture on top.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes or until slightly golden and bubbly. Serve warm or cool to room temperature.

Top with ice cream or whipped topping of choice!
